A new one-day musical celebration is set to take place both on the streets of Dublin and in one of its most famous live music venues this September.

'Hey Troubadour' will see Glen Hansard lead a line-up that also includes the likes of Mark Geary, David Keenan, Mongoose, Ailbhe Reddy, Stephen James Smith, Sam Kavanagh (Lalala Choir), Larry Beau, Mark Matthew Palmer, Junior Brother, Ailie, Natalya O'Flaherty and Harry Hoban.

There will be a busking session at 2pm on Saturday, September 15th on Crampton Court (the square between Brogan's pub and the Olympia Theatre, just off Dame Street), which will be followed by a gig featuring all of the above-mentioned acts at Whelan's from 8pm.

The only act confirmed for the busk (which is free) so far is Muireann McDonnell and The Daydreamers (a choir of 8-11 year olds from Brittas Bay in Wicklow who only sing the songs of Mic Christopher), but you can be certain that a few more faces will show up.

Tickets for the Whelan's gig are €25 and on sale from this link now.
