Franz Ferdinand have announced that their fourth studio album, 'Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action' will be released on 26th August - a follow up to their 2009 effort 'Tonight'.

The album was recorded in frontman Alex Kapranos' Scottish studio and guitarist Nick McCarthy's Sausage Studios in London with some recording session in Stockholm and Oslo.

It sounds like the Scottish group are trying to get their roots with the release stating "They seem to have rediscovered the imagination, vitality and fun found on their classic, era-encapsulating debut Franz Ferdinand." 'Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action' will also include some "interesting" collaborations and although there are no details yet on who will be joining them on the album, NME recently reported that Roxanne Clifford (Veronica Falls) will feature as a guest vocalist.
