A sumptuous menu of delectable five star dining has been unveiled for this year's Electric Picnic. Warning: do not read this with an empty stomach.

What makes Electric Picnic stand out from its festival peers is the amount of thought that goes into the non-music aspects of the festival. Yesterday we brought you all the deets for this year's Africa themed Mindfield area of the festival and today, well, let's just say that Electric Picnic intends to look after your belly too.

For the first time, some of Ireland's top chefs will combine their collective talents to create 'Fine Dining Picnic' in aid of Console, the suicide prevention, intervention and postvention service in Ireland. Every penny raised from the Fine Dining Picnic will go straight towards this most important of charities.

Cooking you dinner this year will be Michelin star chef Derry Clarke (above) of L'Ecrivain, who will also host the evening alongside the likes of Kevin Hui of China Sichuan, Warren Massey from L'Gueuleton and Ross Lewis from Chapter One. Chef Lorcan Cribbin will head up the entire affair.

This five course feast will really take the concept of festival nosh to the next level - it even has a dress code of "black tie come festival fabulous", so you'll have to use your imagination on that one.

Seats are limited and there'll be a total of five sittings over the Picnic weekend - Friday at 5.30pm and two on Saturday and Sunday at 1.30pm and 5.30pm, with each sitting taking around two hours from start to finish.

Now, this'll set you back a cool €120 but it's worth it. Booking details are on 01-4979337 or [email protected]. Also, vegetarians will be catered for - just let them know when you're booking.
