In the twenty years since Dave Grohl first formed Foo Fighters they have become one of the world's most influential rock acts. Now, with the release of their eighth album 'Sonic Highways', the band has undertaken their most ambitious album yet.
'Sonic Highways' sees Grohl embark on a musical journey through the United States, sampling the myriad rhythms, textures and flavours which comprise the 50 states. The album's eight tracks were recorded in eight different US cities and is released in tandem with a HBO series of the same name, documenting Grohl's "love letter to the history of American music", as he puts it.
