Eva bring us their very first release with a double a-side single of mellow, laid-back tunes that could very well make an excellent accompaniment to drifting off to slumber land. Theirs is the type of music that deserves careful attention as they make every note and every beat count in a quiet and understated way. Vocalist Jenny Reeve's honey sweet voice soothes the ears on 'Solo' while the slow drumbeat on 'The Longest Day' is hypnotic in its quiet intensity. It seems they are heading in the right direction if they wish to achieve their goal of making "the hair stand up on people's necks."
