'The Following' is an American psychological thriller. Former FBI agent Ryan Hardy (Kevin Bacon) is brought out of retirement to lead the hunt for escaped serial killer Joe Carroll (James Purefoy), who he helped put behind bars. Hardy discovers Carroll had been covertly accessing the internet from prison and built up an army of devotees. It premiered on Sky Atlantic in 2013.
