"Home Improvement" is an American sitcom that launched the acting careers of Tim Allen and Pamela Anderson. A huge success in its native country, it ran for seven years and became one of the highest-rated shows on American television. Centred on flawed everyman Tim Taylor and his acquaintances, it was originally based on Allen's stand-up routines and first aired in 1991. Tim Taylor is a family man with a wife and three wayward sons. He also has a television show called ‘Tool Time', which he co-presents with his friend Al, with neighbour Wilson always on hand to deliver advice over the garden fence.
