A trailer has arrived for 'Y: The Last Man', which is coming to FX on Hulu.

'Y: The Last Man' is based on the DC comic book series of the same name by Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra.

It takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where a cataclysmic event has killed every mammal with a Y chromosome.

That is, except for one man - Yorick Brown (Ben Schnetzer), and his pet monkey Ampersand.

The new world order of women will explore gender, race, and class.

Survivors struggle with their losses and attempt to restore world society.

Leading them is Yorick's mother, who also happens to be the U.S. President, Jennifer Brown (Diane Lane).

Irish actor Brian Keoghan had originally been cast as Yorrick. He departed from the project in February 2020.

'Y: The Last Man' also stars Olivia Thirlby, Ashley Romans, Juliana Canfield, Marin Ireland, Amber Tamblyn and Elliot Fletcher.

All episodes of season one will be directed by women and the production team includes several female department heads, including both DPs, the production designer, costume designer, casting director, editors, stunt coordinator and more.

Louise Friedberg and Eliza Clark serve as director and writer on the first two episodes, respectively.

Clark is also the showrunner and an executive producer.

The release of 'Y: The Last Man' in Ireland and the UK is TBC.

The first two episodes debut on FX on Hulu on September 13th.
