There's something rather meh about this year's X Factor live shows thus far and that certainly doesn't look set to change as we head into Movie Week: Y'know, when the contestants have to sing a song that you probably remember from some film?

The full list of song choices for this weekend's Live Show dropped online in the early hours, and we can honestly say some of them were more than worthy of an eye roll.

SPOILER ALERT: If you don't want to know what they'll be singing on Saturday we suggest you look away now.

It's hardly surprising to hear that Abi Alton will be putting her own spin on Moon River, playing things a little safer after that err, interesting performance last weekend. Here's hoping her Huckleberry friend gives her a shove in the right direction, and keeps her in the running long enough to nab a recording slot for the John Lewis Christmas Ad... We did so hope she wouldn't be a bit of a one trick pony...

Young London baker Hannah Barrett will be keeping her plait well out of the way as she takes on a bit of Adele. In fairness, we knew it was only a mater of time before they gave the soulful teen something from Ms Adkins' back catalogue, and Skyfall's far better than Rolling In The Deep (which we've heard far too many times at this stage) or Make You Feel My Love (not an Adele song by the by) which will always belong to Gamu. She was robbed...

Perpetual Freshers / walking Topman ads Kingsland Road will be murdering taking on Oh, Pretty Woman from... you guessed it, the film of the same name. We're with former X Factor champ James Arthur when it comes to this lot: We're sure they're lovely lads but between One Direction, The Wanted and Union J the whole boyband thing is pretty much covered.

From boybands to girlbands, Miss Dynamix are back this week and singing about Dreams. Now, we're not quite sure if this is the Fleetwood Mac 'choon', The Corrs' version of said tune, that other Cranberries song, or something we're just not thinking of eve though it's staring us right in the face. Needless to say, Rihanna, Rihanna and Rihanna will be told they've 'smashed it'.

Speaking of things being smashed, you may want to throw things at your television when Sam Callahan (the one who wouldn't look out of place on Geordie Shore) sings All I Want Is You. Now, we're guessing this will either be the U2 song or Barry Louis Polisar's track from the film Juno. Then again, the latter may be a bit too 2008 for his legions of teen fans... If he goes near the Everly Brothers' classic we may have to change the channel.

We may as well move on to the other boys who are actually doing quite well this season. Luke Friend still hasn't washed his hair but we're sure his take on Kiss From A Rose will get the Seal of approval (shall I get my coat?) while Nicholas McDonald is doing a bit of a Westlife on it by covering In The Arms Of An Angel. We're not sure we've forgiven him for never having heard of Tony Hadley and Spandau Ballet yet, but Louis Walsh's 'baby Buble' is redeeming himself with some stellar performances.

So, that leaves us down to just three contenders for the Titanic accolade. Well, we can tell you that Rough Copy will definitely not be taking on Celine Dion, opting to cover Bryan Adams' Everything I Do (y'know that song from Robin Hood that spent far too many weeks in the charts?) instead. They're mad for the late 80s/ early 90s tracks, this lot, but sure if their version is anything like that Phil Collins cover from Week 1 we're sure the fans will be lapping it up.

Then we come to Tamera. The powers that be seem to be going for an Ella meets Leona vibe this year, and that's probably why Tamera's doing an Alexandra Burke, and taking on Beyonce's Listen for Saturday night's live show. We're sure she'll look and sound amazing, and even get a standing ovation.

That leaves just one woman on the good ship Celine Dion: Sam Bailey. The singing prison officer has already stolen our hearts, but we can't help but think that Sharon's turning her into a bit of a cruise ship (pardon the pun) act. It's been power ballads and wind machines galore from the off, so we're wondering when we'll get to see Sam do something a bit more interesting. She's got the pipes, so she may as well use 'em.

Needless to say, we'll be chilling on the sofa when this lot all take to the stage on Saturday evening, wondering why it is we can't help but tune in.
