X Factor is back at the end of the month and this year it's being super sized. The show will air not once but twice each weekend over the entire run. Expect your social life to go out the window....or maybe not! This series marks the shows tenth series and with the extra auditions it hopes to be the biggest yet.

The series will air on both Saturday and Sunday nights for the duration, with the first auditions airing on Saturday (31st August) and Sunday (1st of September). Also returning this year will be the closed audition, where hopefuls only have to perform infront of the panel of judges. However, if they are successful they will still have to impress the judges at arena auditions before reaching boot camp.

Gary Barlow, Louis Walsh, Sharon Osbourne and Nicole Scherzinger are all set to take their seats on the judges panel. ITV hope the 'shake up' with this years format and the return of Sharon ratings will see a huge boost and beat it's competition Strictly come Dancing. This year could very well hold the cards for next year. ITV are also said to have refused to sign a new contract for 2014 until Simon Cowell returns as a judge. Cowell currently receives £100,000 per episode despite no longer appearing on the show. A source said 'ITV have made it clear that they cannot justify paying him such a huge sum when he is not on screen'.
