We got our first look at Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D when it landed on Irish TV screens over the weekend and now it seems as though we might be getting a dose of Samuel L Jackson in our next dose of Joss Whedon's latest offering.

ABC released a promo for the second episode telling viewers to stay tuned to the very end, hinting that they'd be treated to something rather special ie. a post credits Marvel style scene. Entertainment Weekly decided to look a little more closely at the clip and came up with their own little theory about what it really means.

If you zoom in just a little, you'll notice that the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D eagle logo has been altered ever so slightly, and appears to be wearing an eye patch. BOOM. That's total Nick Fury territory right there.

It's a well known fact that Joss and the gang would love to have Jackson on board, and we guess if they can't get him full time they may as well get him for a post credits scene at least. And with leading man Clark Gregg tweeting about it yesterday, we sure hope it lives up to the hype. For his own sake...

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D's debut proved rather popular in the ratings, and while we weren't exactly blown over by the pilot, we figure we'll still tune in to see what else Joss Whedon and co have to offer.

Catch Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D on RTE Two every Sunday night at 8pm or on Channel 4 every Friday night at 8pm.
