Denis Bastick currently plays GAA for Templeogue Synge Street and formerly played for Dublin. The 'Dancing With the Stars' contestant began his journey with the Dubs in 2005 and made his Championship debut for Dublin against Meath in June 2009.

Bastick has had a hugely successful sporting career and was a key player for the Boys in Blue for years. Among his many honours are five All-Ireland senior titles (2011, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017), an All-Ireland junior title (2008), 11 Leinster senior titles and 4 National League titles.

Bastick's last championship appearance came in June 2017’s Leinster quarter-final against Carlow. He announced his retirement from inter-county football in November 2017.

'Dancing With the Stars' isn't the only RTE reality series the All-Ireland champion has appeared on. In 2012, he featured on 'Franc's DIY Brides' where he married his fiancé Jody Hannon at Carton House in December 2011.

He dances with Valeria Milova on this season of 'Dancing With the Stars'. She reached week seven with comedian and RTE star Bernard O'Shea last season.

In 2017, she partnered with Kerry footballer, Aidan O'Mahony. The pair were the first ever winners of the reality series.

Milova is a former Estonian national hip hop dancing champion and has represented her country at the World and European Latin-American Championships. In 2011 and 2012, she was one of the professional dancers on the Turkish version of 'Dancing with the Stars'.
