With Christmas drawing ever nearer there's far more to look forward to on TV but there are also plenty of new offerings winging their way on to the internet just in time for the festive season.

It's a busy week for Netflix with a couple of new additions joining the ranks of the streaming giant, and we've been taking a sneaky peek at what's to come over the next seven days...

First up is The Short Game, a rather marvellous little movie about some very talented golfers which is available to stream from today, December 12th. Director Josh Greenbaum's offering premiered at this year’s South by Southwest (SXSW), picking up the 2013 Audience Award and winning hearts at the same time. Sure how could 8 amazing golfers (who are all under the age of 7) training for and competing in the World Championship of Junior Golf in Pinehurst, N.C. not manage to get a hole in one?

Then there's Lilyhammer, the rather successful Netflix original starring Sopranos star Steve Van Zandt, which will be available to stream from 8.01am on Friday. The show follows former gangster Frank “The Fixer” Tagliano (Van Zandt) as he enters the federal witness protection program trading the mean streets of New York for the icy fjords of Norway, forging a new life among the locals of Lillehammer.

Season two continues with Frank living under the alias of Johnny Henriksen, a successful nightclub owner and father of two. As if life couldn’t get more complicated than balancing fatherhood with running a criminal operation, everything Frank cares for is threatened when his former mob associates find out he is still alive.

And finally, there's The Good Wife. If you're not familiar with the series then here goes: Julianna Margulies stars as attorney Alicia Florrick, who finds herself forced to return to work after a corruption scandal lands her politician husband in prison. Though Alicia stood by him, she has a host of reasons to question their marriage. Did we mention he just so happens to be played by Chris Noth, aka Mr Big from Sex and The City?

Keep an eye out for this one as it drops within the coming week.
