Father Ted writer Graham Linehan has penned a new comedy series that will be making its way to our TV screens on March 6th. The three part show will tell the story of The Walsh family who are "a warm, tight knit family from the West Dublin suburb of Strollinstown".

RTE has previously said of the show: "Tony (Niall Gaffney) and Carmel (Philippa Dunne) are parents to Ciara (Amy Stephenson) and Rory (Rory Connolly), who are both still at home because the state of the Irish economy has forced them all back together."

They went on to say: "Even Ciara's new boyfriend Graham (Shane Langan) is forced to move in and family friend Martin (Owen Roe) always seems to be hanging around mending bits and pieces, as well as accidentally becoming trapped in the wall cavity."

Linehan is also the mastermind behind The IT Crowd, so expectations should be high for his latest comedy offering. No pressure like.
