Dublin based VFX and post production company Egg Studios have just finished work on the pilot for a new US sitcom starring Jenna Elfman and Rachel Dratch.

Imaginary Mary stars Elfman as a Alice, a confirmed bachelorette, who has her life turned upside-down when she finally meets the love of her life – a divorced father with three kids. This triggers even more upheaval when the slightly unhinged “imaginary friend” (a CGI animation voiced by Rachel Dratch) that Alice created as a child suddenly reappears in her life to help her navigate the transition from single girl to a woman ready for a family.

The show is based on an idea by screenwriting duo Adam F. Goldberg (Breaking In, The Goldbergs) and David Guarascio (Community), and the pilot was directed by Shawn Levy (Night at the Museum).

The pilot was recently picked up for a full series order and is expected to air in 2017.
