It had us glued to our TV screens between 2003 and 2007 but now, 10 years since it first aired, The OC has been remade for Turkish TV.

The smash hit Fox drama's reboot won't be a cheap rip-off either: It certainly looks as though they've put plenty of cash into it.

Warner Bros International Television Production is involved with the new series, which has a 13 episode order at the moment. "Today, the standards are so high in drama, so we are delighted with what they've done with the icionic format" WBITP's Andrew Zein told Variety. "It looks glossy and perfectly replicates the original series with a Turkish twist."

Well, we won't disagree with you there Andrew. Sure isn't their leading lad a bit of all right? And the lass we can only assume is the Turkish Marissa isn't so bad either. Now, if only that older fella didn't remind us so much of an aged Ben McKenzie...

Still, they'll never replace the Cohen lads, or Captain Oats. Adam Brody and Peter Gallagher set the bar pretty high in fairness....
