Meet Quincy Jones (not the music producer), a 32-year-old comedian with stage four terminal cancer, who has been given a year to live. In the time he has left, he's been trying to raise money to star in his own standup comedy special before he dies. And Ellen has made it happen - via HBO.
According to Uproxx: "Shutterfly is giving him $15,000 to produce the special, presenting him with a giant check in the process. The special will tape on April 4 at the Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles. You can still donate to Jones’ Kickstarter for the special, as well."
