Seth Rogen and long-term creative partner Evan Goldberg, both directed the pilot of Preacher, which has been in development in either TV or Film form for the best part of 20 years.
Versatile British actor Dominic Cooper is the titular preacher, Jesse Custer, a man with special powers on a literal journey to find God. He's joined by Irish pal, Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun who also went Irish in The Last Witch Hunter), and the actually Irish Ruth Negga, who plays Tulip.
The series has already been picked up by heavy hitting American cabler AMC, who have the biggest show on television right now with The Walking Dead and have previously homed Mad Men.
The show will drop next summer, with no confirmed date yet.
