Making a Murderer proved that there was a big appetite amongst out there for documentary series and Netflix are ready to capitlise on it.
They've decided to change direction with their next release though and test the water with a series focused on sports.
Last Chance U a six-part series offering “gut-wrenching behind-the-scenes look at the world of college football”, and it follows the young players of East Mississippi Community College trying to make their way to the NFL. Expect a real-life version of Friday Night Lights and if you're not interested in sports then don't worry, sports documentaries are often engrossing viewing because they almost always focus on the player rather than the game. Last Chance U will be streaming on Netflix UK from July 29th.
