Dubbed 'Stupid Watergate', Oliver gave a play-by-play of the last seven days in the White House and highlighted just how mad everything has gotten.
"The last seven days have been absolutely insane. So much so that, by Friday night, it may have broken Anderson Cooper," Oliver announced at the top of the show, acknowledging for the first time that the show was going to live up to its name and discuss the last week, tonight.
Tracking the development of the events of the week that was and trying to answer a few "basic questions" such as "what the fuck is going on?" and "is this real life?", Oliver tried his best to make sense of the mess that is Trump's failing presidency and remind us of how we got here and where we could be going.
