Mayor of Toronto Rob Ford has managed to make headlines all around the world for his erratic behaviour over the last year, most of which is to do with his drinking. He even controversially admitted to having smoked crack cocaine while drunk. He's just one big scandal really, and the funniest thing about it is that he refuses point blank to step down - he just won't do it. He's even going for re-election in October. Have to say though, this serves as very entertaining to us on this side of the pond, mainly because we are just delighted it's not one of our lads really.

Jimmy Kimmel has made no secret that he wanted the mayor on the show for months now, and he finally got his wish last night. He introduced the mayor by saying: "Our first guest tonight has tripped, bumped, danced, argued and smoked his way into our national consciousness."

Kimmel questioned the mayor on everything from alcohol to drugs, to why he accepted the invitation to come on the show in the first place. At one point, they even got up and went to a screen where Kimmel played all of the viral videos that had been posted about Ford and asked him to explain them.

The mayor took it all pretty well though, he was almost too laid back about the whole thing. When Jimmy suggested he might get help for his alcohol problems, Ford just laughed it off and said "he wasn't elected to be perfect."

Kimmel at one point quipped: "You are not the average politician - You are the most wonderful mayor I've ever witnessed."
