After six seasons of singing and dancing and a shed load of emotional highs and lows, including the very real heartbreak of cast member Cory Monteith's death, the curtain finally fell on Glee this weekend in America.

The show hasn't aired over this side of the pond yet, but so far what we have gathered is that they do a flashback to how they all met back in 2009, and a flash forward to 2020 to see what they have all done with their lives.

We won't ruin it for you, but needless to say they wrap things up nicely and with a rather apt take on "I Lived" by OneRepublic.

They played this just ahead of the closing credits, with the final shot given to a picture of Finn (Cory Monteith) next to a plaque dedicating the Finn Hudson Auditorium, with the words "See the world not as it is, but as it should be."

Yep, you may need the tissues for this one.
