David Letterman stepped down from his role as Late Night host last May after 33 years in the job, and last night it was time for his successor Stephen Colbert to take the hot seat.

Colbert had previously been presenting The Colbert Report over on Comedy Central since 2005, but has now moved over to CBS to attempt to fill some pretty big shoes.

We reckon Colbert is the person for the job though as his satirical and intelligent brand of humour will surely prove a hit with viewers.

Just in case though, his fellow late night talk show hosts had some words of wisdom for him, including Jimmy Kimmel, Trevor Noah, Seth Meyers, James Corden and Conan O'Brien... who looks seriously old in this video, it's kind of weird.
