MMA champ Conor McGregor has sent a video message to his Irish fans and his coach John Kavanagh ahead of his appearance on tonight's Late Late Show.

Kavanagh will talk to Ryan about himself and Conor's rise to the very pinnacle of the UFC, and we'll also see some footage from earlier in the week of when Ryan visited John's Straight Blast Gym in Walkinstown, and took on the renowned coach in the famed Octagon.

In the video, which you can watch below, McGregor says: "Whatsup Ryan, I hear you are training with Coach Kavanagh now, that's great to see. I want to get on and let you know that you're training with the right man there. It's great to finally see Coach Kavanagh get the recognition that he truly deserves. What an amazing coach he is. I wouldn't be in the position I am in without Coach Kavanagh's guidance throughout the years, so, it is great to finally see him on the show. I look forward to watching it back, seeing how you guys get on.

"I want to give a shoutout to everyone back in Ireland, your support is much appreciated. Everyone that stuck by me through thick and thin, through everything, everyone that had my back and prayed for me to succeed. I want to thank you and let you know that it is that motivation that continues to push me on to work harder each day and stay focussed and make the right moves on this crazy journey I'm on. Thank you everyone for the support and I will see you guys soon."
