It wasn't just all about your Beyonce and your Jay Z at the Grammys this weekend, as the Directors Guild Awards also took place in LA on Saturday evening. The evening was all about honouring the best of the best in directing, and you really just can't have an award ceremony these days without finding a way to give Breaking Bad something. Those lads will probably miraculously get an Oscar too.

Vince Gilligan was the man to pat on the back though on Saturday, as opposed to the actors, as he scooped the DGA for Breaking Bad's series finale. One of his main contenders was actually the show's star, Bryan Cranston, who was nominated for an episode he directed in the final season.

Other TV winners on the night included '30 Rock' for comedy series, director - Beth McCarthy-Miller. While Steven Soderbergh won for Movie/Mini-Series for 'Behind the Candelabra'.
