Well, it looks as though Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone, Jesse Eisenberg and Abigail Breslin can rest easy: That Zombieland TV show won't be stealing any of their thunder, because Amazon has already thrown it on the proverbial trash heap.

The project was being billed as one of the most exciting, and was quite probably the most high-profile of Amazon's online TV pilots. Writer Rhett Rheese says "vehement hate" from "die-hard... fans" of the original is to errr, blame, for the failure of the made-for-Amazon-TV production. We guess he's putting it mildly.

There is good news for fans of John Goodman though. As well as his recent stint in The Hangover Part 3, the actor will now appear in a full Amazon TV series.  Alpha House, which sees Goodman take on the role of one of four misfit senators who share a house in Washington DC, is the first project to receive a series order.

Every cloud!
