TV3 launched their 'broadest ever schedule' today (photos below), boasting 50 new programmes and 80 returning series. So let's have a gander at what's on offer - apart from The Irish Apprentice, which got canned as suspected.

Here's a list of what is on offer this Autumn/Winter, to keep the cockles warm when it starts getting dark at jaysis 4.30pm of an afternoon. Alan Hughes feature's heavily under the 'Entertainment' banner, as does Paul Connolly under 'Factual'.

Say what you like about TV3 (basically reformatting all UK shows for an Irish audience, which is a no brainer really), but what other station would offer the 'Dallas' reboot, 'Tonight With Vincent Browne', something called 'Talleluia' (?), 'Corrie', 'Emmerdale', 'Too Posh to Wash' (under the 'Lifestyle' banner), the new version of 'Surprise Surprise' (featuring the lovely Holly Willoughby) 'The Rockstar, The P.A. & the Millions', 'The Kidnapping of Shergar', 'Bob's Burgers', 'Sex and the Gaeltacht', and seeeeeeew much more.

TV3’s Director of Programming Ben Frow said: "For the first time ever we have home produced content across all genres and I think this makes it our most interesting autumn ever. You need to have new pieces in the mix that will surprise, challenge and excite the viewer - and demonstrate that TV3 is constantly growing and evolving as a channel. TV3’s 2012 schedule is entirely viewer led and designed to entertain the viewers at home."

We'll have photos from today's launch shortly.
