The superhero genre is getting yet another TV series to its name and this time with a vigilante Robin taking the helm, who has left his days as Batman's sidekick behind him. The DC comic book series 'Titans' or 'Teen Titans' as they were also known feature many sidekicks to DC's premiere superheroes in the Justice League.
The new series is the first original scripted series for DC Entertainment’s new streaming service, DC Universe.
Brenton Thwaites stars as Robin/Dick Grayson/Nightwing while Teagon Croft stars as Raven, Ryan Potter as Beast Boy and Anna Diop as Starfire.
DC Entertainment chief creative officer Jim Lee said: "'Titans'was the biggest franchise that had yet been adapted to other media. We saw that this was something that fans would obviously love to see. Obviously the Teen Titans are a very beloved franchise."
