'Fair City' will pay tribute to late star Karl Shiels on tonight's (Wednesday 7 August) episode.
Shiels passed away last month at the age of 47.
He played the character Robbie Quinn on 'Fair City' from 2014.
Tonight's episode of the Irish soap will include the final scenes he filmed for the show before his sudden death.
Airing on RTÉ One at 8:00pm, the episode sees Shiels' character Robbie leaving Carrigstown for a business trip abroad.
The poignant scene sees Robbie turn to Carol Foley, played by Aisling O'Neill, and say: "Right, cab's outside, you sure you are going to manage without me?" before kissing her goodbye and leaving.
'Fair City' writers had to rewrite scripts and work out new storylines without Shiels after learning of the actor's sad passing.
Brigie de Courcy, Executive Producer of 'Fair City', said:
"We all miss Karl, who was a wonderful actor and friend, and 'Fair City' will miss Robbie Quinn, who was a blaze of trouble and fun during his time in Carrigstown."
'Fair City' airs on RTÉ One on Sundays and Tuesdays to Thursdays.
