Scott Calvin is donning the Santa suit once again.
Tim Allen is confirmed to star in a TV series of 'The Santa Clause' for Disney+.
The plot synopsis, per Variety, reads "In the series, Scott Calvin is on the brink of his 65th birthday and realizing that he can’t be Santa forever. He’s starting to lose a step in his Santa duties, and more importantly, he’s got a family who could benefit from a life in the normal world, especially his two kids who have grown up at the Pole."
"With a lot of elves, children, and family to please, Scott sets out to find a suitable replacement Santa while preparing his family for a new adventure in a life south of the pole."
The series will serve as the first time Tim Allen has donned the Santa suit since 2006's 'The Santa Clause 3' which saw him face off against Martin Short's Jack Frost.
Allen will be joined by the creator of his sitcom 'Last Man Standing' on the show, with series creator Jack Burditt acting as executive producer and showrunner, with production on the series slated to begin in March.
Allen's credits include his signature role, Buzz Lightyear in the 'Toy Story' films and 90's sitcom 'Home Improvement' where he starred as Tim 'The Toolman' Taylor.
The initial 'The Santa Clause' film was released in November 1994, followed by a sequel in 2002, with 2006's 'The Santa Clause 3' serving as the final film to date.
The success of the initial 'The Santa Clause' gave Tim Allen the rare distinction of having the number one film in America, the number one television show in America ('Home Improvement') and the best-selling book in America (Don't Stand Too Close To A Naked Man') within the same week.
