Great news for reality baking fans everywhere - the series is coming back sooner than expected.
With various reports speculating that this year's 'Great British Bake Off' series had yet to even begin filming, it turns out that it's fully wrapped on production altogether. We can already smell the cakes burning inside the tent for the sheer anticipation of the eleventh series.
With a slight change in this year's lineup, 'Little Britain' star Matt Lucas was announced as Noel Fielding's new co-host following Sandi Toksvig's departure after three series. The reality baking show found a new home on Channel back in 2017, with Paul Hollywood remaining a judge alongside newcomer Prue Leith.
The TV show tweeted the exciting news this afternoon, adding "more news" will be on the way very soon.

Ordinarily, we'd currently be impatiently waiting for the series to return to our screens next week (with all of the previous seasons returning in the final week of August), but honestly, we're just happy that there's any series at all. A little late than never is always welcome when it comes to waiting for an iconic TV series to start back up.
Expect more details on this year's 'Great British Bake Off' over the coming weeks, as well as an official start date for the new series.
In other TV news as to what's on the reality TV agenda for later this year, ITV's 'I'm A Celeb' will be changing course and remaining settled in UK for this year's series.
