Friday nights during the summer will now be reserved for Conor, Jock and their new baby on RTE One.

With Ryan Tubridy and his 'Late Late Show' officially off for the remainder of the summer (except for a 'Toy Show' singalong), RTE One is giving away their primetime slot to no better men than the two lads down in Cork. That's right, 'The Young Offenders' season three will be heading to our screens later this month.

You'll no doubt be familiar with the goings-on of teenagers Conor (Alex Murphy) and Jock (Chris Walley), as they go about their daily lives causing sky-high stress for their mother and guardian Mairéad (Hilary Rose). Always attempting to keep the boys on the straight and narrow, the new series will see the best friends continue to navigate their awkward teenage years as well as trying to care for the newest family member, baby Star.

And here's the new trailer, which will land on the BBC iPlayer later this month too.

'The Young Offenders' creator Peter Foott said of the new season arriving on RTE One: "We really hope viewers enjoy this third series which we are very proud of. Given that it has been a very difficult time for so many over the last few months, we hope that the series will bring a smile to our audiences' faces when it’s most needed. The whole team are really excited to have everyone see the new series, it was a labour of love for all our amazing cast and crew."

In anticipation of their return later this month, we recently caught up with the three stars about what we can expect from them in season three - watch out for our interview with Alex, Chris, and Hilary which will be on-site very soon.

'The Young Offenders' season three will premiere on RTE One Friday, July 24 at 9.30pm.
