We all remember The Walshes don't we? That new comedy series from Father Ted writer Graham Linehan last year that everybody flipped out over because it wasn't Father Ted?
Well yeah, it's been cancelled by the BBC after just three episodes. Which really is a pity as we thought that while it got off to a rough start, it definitely had potential, particularly that deadly Irish mammy Carmel.
Graham Linehan, who is also behind hit comedies Black Books and The IT Crowd, has taken to Twitter this afternoon to voice his frustration...

This is a show BBC2 cancelled after giving it zero publicity. They put the 3 episodes on, late, and then cancelled it.

It deserved a chance, it's not like Linehan doesn't have a decent track record. Maybe another channel will pick it up? Here's hoping.
