Last night, the TV Craft BAFTAs took place across the pond which honours the all important behind-the-scenes achievements in TV. Graham Linehan managed to bag the Best Comedy Writer category for the TV series 'The IT Crowd', making it his second BAFTA for that show, and fifth over all. No surprise though, considering this is the comic mind that brought Father Ted to life. Just think of the many one-liners we wouldn't have without this man?

Linehan's recent television outing was The Walshes, which was met by, er, a mixed reaction to say the least, but we reckon it's a grower. Other Irish wins on the night included Mark Geraghty who picked up an award in the Product Design category for his work on 'Ripper Street'.

The BAFTA Television Awards (for all those IN FRONT of the camera) will take place on May 18th.
