The Script star Danny O'Donoghue has come out against the rumours that The Voice UK is fixed. Insiders have claimed that a secret conversation between Danny and Jessie J decided the fate of contestants Alex Buchanan and Letitia Grant Brown, rather than their live performances.

According to the circulating gossip, before the live sing off Jessie J asked Danny to save Alex while she took Letitia to the next round. If proved true, the show would have to face viewers' dismay and anger as the point of the series is to judge the singers on their live performances. One source stated "It makes a mockery of the idea that a singer's fate hangs on how they perform on the night'.

Danny has confronted the accusations by saying, 'if it's a secret conversation, how did anybody hear it? It's lies. All lies. Even if I wanted to steal an act I'm still in the bidding with three other people - you can't fix it'.

With the allegations causing enough stir for coaches to voice their opinions, there is sure to be more news on the matter soon. If allegations are proved true, what does this mean for Irish version The Voice of Ireland? No, surely Kian Egan wouldn't lie to us, say it isn't so.
