Running from 1999 to 2006, 'The West Wing' was one of the most successful political dramas on television.

As well as revitalising the career of Martin Sheen, it also helped to solidify Aaron Sorkin's reputation as one of the finest screenwriters of our generation and reminded everyone just how earnest Rob Lowe could be if he wanted to be.

It also created the Walk And Talk, in which huge reams of dialogue were rattled off as actors marched through the corridors.
