Although there's still no word yet if RTE or any of the other stations are picking it up, 'Castle Rock' finally has a trailer to give us some indication of what the Stephen King-related series is about.

The general gist, as best we can tell, is that it folds a number of Stephen King stories into one and sets them all in a fictional town in Maine - Castle Rock, hence the title. The cast list is pretty impressive and, oddly enough, two of the lead actors have a connection to Stephen King's work - Sissy Spacek is in there, who played Carrie in Brian DePalma's adaptation back in 1976, and Bill Skarsgard, who played Pennywise in last year's 'It'.

Plot details are pretty light, but it's understood that Skarsgard's character is an inmate at Shawshank Prison who was found deep in the dungeons and seemingly has no memory of how he got there - and, weirdly enough, nobody else does either. The blurb for the series promises to "combine the mythological scale and intimate character storytelling of King’s best-loved works, weaving an epic saga of darkness and light, played out on a few square miles of Maine woodland," so expect creepy stuff in forests. Got it.

The first episode debuts on Hulu on July 25th. Here's the trailer.
