It's been a long week, and if you're idea of a wild Friday night is curling up on the couch and getting on down with your bad self and the TV, well you're in luck because there's plenty to keep you entertained tonight. Alan Carr has your celebrity laughs covered, while Piers Morgan sits down and talks roughing it with Bear Grylls. And if sport is your thing, the first showdown of the season between Leinster and Connacht is guaranteed to have plenty of action. Consider your Friday sorted.

Alan Carr: Chatty Man Channel 4: 10:00pm

Alan Carr has only a week until he has Graham Norton to compete with, but fair to say he has definitely made the most of it with this line up. The legendary Dan Aykroyd will be talking about his new role in the James Brown biopic Get on Up, while Kate Hudson and Zach Braff discuss their new comedy drama Wish I Was Here. Alan is usually great for a few laughs but if you need anymore, comedian Lee Mack will be dropping in ahead of his live stand-up tour, while music will be provided by Professor Green.

Piers Morgan's Life Stories: Bear Grylls UTV: 9.00pm

It's the last in the series for Piers Morgan tonight, who seems to be getting more unpopular by the day if his Twitter account is anything to go by. It's all been a less than impressive series guest wise, however tonight's one we will definitely want to tune in for as he interviews adventurist Bear Grylls. The action-man is fresh from an American series which has seen him bring the likes of Zac Efron and Channing Tatum on his survival treks. He looks back tonight on a career which has seen him do everything from sleeping inside a dead camel to drinking his own urine, as well as addressing those allegations of fakery that have followed him around. There better be Bear Grylls tears at some stage too, you can only assume with Piers interviews.

8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown Channel 4: 9:00pm

Final episode of this comedy panel show tonight as Jimmy Carr and friends do their own version of our favourite afternoon quiz show. Team captains Sean Lock and Jon Richardson will be joined by guests Vic Reeves and Jo Brand. Countdown regular Susie Dent will be 'helped' by Adam Buxton in the dictionary corner, while Rachel Riley will be blowing us away as usual with her maths skills. Oh and Rob Beckett will be making a special appearance too. The lols will be had tonight lads.

Rugbai Beo: Connacht v Leinster TG4: 7:10pm

It's the first derby of the Pro12 2014/15 season tonight as Connacht take on Leinster at the Sportsground. The men from the west will be hoping to improve on their previous campaign which saw them finish tenth in the table, while Leinster will be hoping the end of BOD's era won't hold them back on the pitch. Undoubtedly though, he will be missed.

The Hangover TV3: 9.00pm

The hilarious first installment of this trilogy which they desperately tried to recreate the second and third time. For those that may have somehow never seen it, it's basically about one hell of a stag party that goes dramatically, and pretty damn hilariously wrong. It launched the career of Zach Galifianakis, who's character was responsible for a hell of a lot of bearded men's Halloween costumes there for a while. and pretty much served as the marker for great movie comedies since.

Jon Richardson Grows Up Channel 4: 11:05pm

You may have seen comedian Jon earlier in the night as team captain on 8 Out of 10 Cats, but it's all about him in this show as the comedian must learn what everybody tries (and sometimes fails) to learn at some stage - how to be a grown up. In the first of a three part series, Jon and his fellow comedian Matt attempt to get to grips with this commitment and marriage lark by meeting those with a variety of different views on the topic, from those married for 54 years to those who contest any kind of monogamy, such as swingers. Don't know if the lads will be leaving their keys in any bowls though...
