When it comes to setting the tone for a series, 'American Horror Story' never fails to put the heebie-jeebies up you with both their opening credits and their trailers.

The newest season of the anthology series is called 'Apocalypse' and if the teaser is anything to go by, we're in for a suitably creepy end-of-the-world experience.

From foetuses in hourglasses, to melting gas mask-clad heads, to scorpions emerging from figs and flaming skulls a-plenty, the riddle-filled teaserit's suitably freaky and confusing and needless to say, we can't wait.

It premieres on FX in the States on September 12th, so not long to go now - and even better, Jessica Lange will be making a return this season.
