In what comes as fantastic news to our Brian Lloyd but terrible news to the show's most obsessive fans, Big Bang Theory may be drawing to a close.

Though I've yet to write about this show myself, I'm with Brian; I've never found it even remotely funny and cannot fathom the success it's enjoyed. *Runs and hides from fans with pitchforks...

Anyhoo, showrunner Steve Molaro has said that the tenth season may be the final one, but then co-creator Chuck Lorre jumped in to reassure the panicking BBT addicts that 'as long as everyone is still having a good time, then it's worth continuing', so we'll have to wait for an official state of affairs before we start celebrating crying.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter about its eventual demise, Molaro said: "I think so. I can't speak to the future or on behalf of the cast or where we'll be then but it's certainly possible that it could go past that. The reality is that maybe season 10 is the ending point."

However, he's only speculating right now: “The real answer is I don't know and all I can do right now is go episode to episode and try to make each one the best that we can... There’s still so many episodes to go. Even if hypothetically season 10 was the end, I wouldn't be focusing on that yet. That seems like something that would be dealt with way down the line.”

As for the fate of the US' number one comedy among 18-49 year olds, we'll have to wait and see.

Do you think it's time for things to wrap up?
