While our daytime TV here is usually taken up with the likes of Home and Away, Neighbours, and maybe a spot of Late Lunch Live if you're feeling peckish, but we also do get our fair share of TV from the US too. Yes, we're normally watching chat shows anywhere from two weeks to two years after they initially aired, but look, we're usually skiving off something to be watching them so we really can't complain, can we?

Well all those shows take up so much air time across the pond that they get their own Emmy Awards ceremony with a whole host of different categories from Outstanding Talk Show Host to Outstanding Drama Series. (Everything is Outstanding, this is America we are dealing with.) Kathy Griffin hosted the event this year at the Beverly Hills Hotel last night, on what was the 41st Daytime Emmy Awards 2014.
