The Disney Channel has had some stinkers of shows but That’s So Raven (which ran from 2003 to 2007) is definitely one we look back on as a guilty pleasure from our young teen years.

The show followed a sassy teenage girl who gets short psychic visions into the future, which often lead to trouble for her friends and family.

Fans of the show will be delighted to hear that none other than Raven herself, Raven-Simoné, announced today that she will be making a That's So Raven 2 (working title) with Disney.

She gave the news on The View, which she is a panellist on, and additionally announced that she will be leaving the talk show as a result of the new project sometime in December.

The That’s So Raven spin-off sees her resume the role of Raven Baxter, now a grown-up, single mother with two pre-teen kids (a son and daughter), one of whom has inherited her ability to catch glimpses of the future. Symoné will also executive produce the series.

Disney Channel EVP of Original Programming Adam Bonnett ssaid in a statement: ‘Raven’s brilliant style of fearless comedy was a driving force for Disney Channel’s success around the world. Her performance in ‘That’s So Raven’ is timeless.

'We now have our eyes on the future with her, and we’re looking forward to telling more stories for a new generation with an adult Raven Baxter raising her young family.'

Writers Scott Thomas and Jed Elinoff are working on the script for the new Disney Channel sitcom and casting for Raven’s kids is revving up. The network plans to introduce both new and familiar characters.
