Well this is great news of a Tuesday. Following on from the success of TFI Friday's one-off special a couple weeks ago, the series is now returning officially for a full six-part series on Channel 4 next November.
Evans has also recently been announced as the new host of Top Gear and it's thought the BBC are not too pleased about the decision. A source told The Sun; "The BBC are less than happy. They think having him host TFI could really dilute his brand and might take away from what he is going to do on Top Gear."
Chris Evans is naturally delighted about the decision however and tweeted as much this morning:
Just written last chapter of new book. Had no idea it was going to start with a secret marathon and end with TFi Friday & Top Gear. Onwards!

He also told The Sun; "Oh my goodness, are we really going to get to do this again? Looks like it - and leading into Christmas too.
'I might actually spontaneously explode on live television due to overexcited-ness. Does that still count as unpredictable cos' I've said it now?'
Jay Hunt, Channel 4's creative officer, added: 'Chris is the best of the best of live broadcasters and I never doubted for a moment that this TFI would live up to expectations. Confirming a series was a no-brainer.'
Cannot. Wait.
