Detention, writing lines, going to the principal - forget them all. If you want to silence a noisy class, just threaten to spoil their favourite TV show, and you won't hear a penny drop.

A maths teacher in a school in Belgium dealt with a disruptive class in a way we can't doubt would work - by telling them he would start writing the names of all who died in season three of Game of Thrones on the board if they weren't quiet.

He asked them first off if they watched the show, and when the majority raised their hands, he realised the power he now had! He told them that he had read all the books, and not only could he tell them but who, but also how they died too, saying that there 'are enough to fill the whole year'.

The story spread through social media with one of his students commenting; "my maths teacher is a genius".

We could not agree more!

Season 4 returns to our screen on April 7th on Sky Atlantic, which no doubt this maths teacher is only too delighted about.
