'Superstore' came to the attention of many on our shores through Netflix, and viewers have delighted in the show, finding it to be a gem of a sitcom.

Now the very last episode of 'Superstore' will air in the US in the coming weeks.

Lead America Ferrera departed the show during its sixth season.

However she'll return as Amy Sosa, a single mother working her way up the ladder of the Cloud 9 superstore, in the series finale.

The actress, who is also an executive producer on the series, had previously announced that she would be leaving the series at the end of season 5.

However, there were production delays due to coronavirus, and Ferrera’s exit was postponed too.

The sitcom’s 100th episode served as her farewell. Her character got a job offer that moved her to California.

Shortly after she left, NBC revealed that Superstore would end with its current sixth season.

The series follows a group of employees working at "Cloud 9", a fictional big-box store in St. Louis, Missouri.

Its cast also includes Lauren Ash, Colton Dunn, Nico Santos, Nichole Sakura, Mark McKinney, and Kaliko Kauahi.

The hour-long season and series finale of 'Superstore' airs on NBC on Thursday, March 25.

It will feature former store manager Amy in an undisclosed plot. The episode also sees the current storylines of the essential workers of Cloud 9 get wrapped up, as they tackle the pandemic, and deal with their own personal crises.

According to reports it won't be the last we'll see of the 'Superstore' gang.

A spin-off based on the characters Bo (Johnny Pemberton) and Cheyenne (Nichole Sakura) is said to be in the works.
