Any Game of Thrones fall will tell you that the character of The Mountain, aka Gregor Clegane, is what you might call a 'big fella'.

The actor and Icelandic strongman has now revealed that he actually lifted a man over his head during his audition for the show. (Presumably followed by a mic drop.)

In an forthcoming interview with Men's Health (out tomorrow), Hafthór Júlíus Björnsson revealed that producers questioned him how strong he was. "They asked me if I was strong enough to pick one of the guys up," he said. "I gave it a try and he felt very light. They were surprised at how easily I lifted him overhead."

He also revealed in the same interview that he has hung out with none other than Conor McGregor when filming the show here. "I was in Ireland shooting for Game of Thrones and my friend [and teammate of McGregor] Gunnar Nelson was training in Dublin with Conor," he said. "I asked if I could check out a session. I knew he had a big fight coming up, so I was gentle with him!"

Unfortunately that GoT audition tape hasn't made its way online, but see below for a display of The Mountain's insane strength:
