Looks like the first episode of the final series of Skins will be hitting our screens very soon. Mark it in your diary E4 have announced the 1st of July as the start date for the show.

Skins Fire will be the first of the three specials set to air in July. Skins Fire sees the return of Effy (Kaya Scoderlario) working as a receptionist and living with Naomi (Lily Loveless). However when tragedy strikes Effy is forced to re evaluate her life.

The final series is split into three hour long episodes each focusing on previous characters. Skins Rise catches up with Cook, Effy's on and off again boyfriend, who is now currently working as a drug dealer. Can't say we're surprised with that one. While Skins Pure will focus on Cassie and an interesting friendship she sparks up.

Speaking about the final series Scodelario said 'the story is about a lot of different things including friendship, love and redemption but ultimately it's them finding themselves in the world. They are trying to work out what it means to grow up, how you're supposed to know when you've become an adult and what you should do with your life. It's hard to work all that out when you're 20-something. I certainly haven't'.

Skins will air on Monday 1st July at 10pm.
