So the wooing has commenced then... was only a matter of time really, wasn't it? Actually, Louis would probably return in a heartbeat without any of this hoopla. Walsh announced last year that he would be finishing up on the talent competition after a ten year run as a judge, however, that was when it seemed like everybody else was abandoning ship, well, Gary Barlow anyways.

Things have changed now though with Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole back on the panel, you can only imagine Louis is somewhere stomping his foot saying "I didn't realise THEY were going to to be there!"

Simon has said though that he couldn't imagine Louis not being on the panel, he told The Sun; "I’d find it difficult to do the show without Louis. I tried it without him once and it didn't work. He does make a long day fun. I hope I don't have to talk ITV round. After ten years, he deserves a spot."

He also said that he would definitely not be re-hiring Nicole Scherzinger, as he feared that her and Cheryl would clash; "I didn’t think the two of them would work well together." While he also added that Mel B is being seriously considered for the position; "I like Mel B. We’ve got about a month to decide and we’re meeting a lot of people. A lot of it actually depends on how much work they are willing to put in during the week."
