These days the question of whether to have your wedding out in some sunny picturesque location abroad or to have it on the green green grass of home is one that comes up between so many couples in the early days of planning the nuptials.

There are positives and negatives to both - sure, you're uncle John may not be able to make it but just think of those wedding pictures.

A new one-off show on RTÉ tonight will help one couple make this decision as we meet Peter Twomey and Kate Browne from Whitecross in Cork who are ready to finally tie the knot after an eight-year engagement.

Helping them along will be top wedding planners Tara Fay and Bruce Russell, who will go head to head as each try to persuade Peter and Kate that they have the perfect vision for their wedding, with one rallying for at home, and the other for abroad.

The clip below shows the couple debating the merits of getting married at home or abroad with their wider families.

Catch My Big Day: Home or Away on RTÉ2 at 9.30pm tonight (Monday).
