There has been talk for some time that two of Ireland's most talented ladies were teaming up for a new sitcom and at last we have a title. Sharon Horgan and Aisling Bea will star in a new comedy called Happy AF that's set to air on Channel 4 early next year.

The pair will play sisters with Bea playing a woman suffering from anxiety and depression while Horgan will be the older sibling who struggles to look after her.

It is written by Bea and directed by Alex Winckler, whose credits include Crims and My Mad Fat Diary.

Bea and Horgan are close friends in real life, with Bea telling Chortle back in 2015: "Myself and Sharon met for the first time filming the pilot for Dead Boss and we fell deep in love.

"We have been working together for a few years on bits and pieces and when she and Clelia Mountford set up their own production company, Merman, we started chatting ideas and brainstorming things we could make together. We hope to use this as a way of making the most of our similar backgrounds."

We can't wait to see what they have come up with together.
